Ed Hitchcock founded Tailored Tackle in 2016 in order to to make a better experience for new anglers and fisherman learning new techniques.
Ed is an angler dedicated to making fishing easier. He designs all the Tailored Tackle fishing gear with a purpose. His purpose is to make buying tackle easier for new and enterprising anglers. His mission is to empower our customers with all the gear and information they need to be successful anglers. Ed spent 7 years as a fishing camp instructor, teaching hundreds of kids in Minnesota the life long sport of angling. He went on to found the Central Park Conservatory’s Youth Fishing Program in NYC which provides fishing clinics to kids throughout the city.
Ed is a graduate of Columbia University and started his professional career in finance. He moved from New York City to Seattle to start a new career in e-commerce and to spend more time fishing. Ed worked at Amazon.com in Seattle as a retail buyer and marketing manager. He now uses those skills to build a better fishing experience for new anglers.
